'Halo 3: ODST' Review

Frushtick, Russ. "'Halo 3: ODST' Review." MTV. 19 Sept. 2009. http://multiplayerblog.mtv.com/2009/09/20/halo-3-odst-review/

Russ Frushtick gives us a game review article on the most anticipated Xbox 360 game of 2009. In this article, he gives us some highs and lows of the game. Then in the last paragraph, he gives his final judgement on the game. A high of "Halo 3: ODST" is that it provides a different aspect to the "Halo" experience, you are weak. In this game when you fall from a height, you get hurt, something that hasn't happened since the first "Halo". The new "firefight mode" also gained a positive review. Similar to Gears of War 2's "horde mode," the firefight mode is where you try to stay alive as long as you can as waves of enemies drop in to try and kill you. Where there are high points, there are low points and Frushtick gives them to us. The only things that he found bad with the new installment of "Halo 3" was that the story mode was a little too short and perhaps not quite worth the $60 before taxes. He says that it isn't like they are ripping you off, its just not quite as long as the previous "Halo" games. Overall, Frushtick loved "Halo 3: ODST" for its new multiplayer modes and story line.

As a gamer, I have been waiting for "Halo 3: ODST" to come out for quite some time and I am happy that it received a positive review. Now instead of wasting my money renting the game and then buying it, I can buy it right away. I am especially excited about the firefight mode because I really like "horde" in "Gears of War 2" and I am interested how they made it compared to "horde."The only thing I am a little sketchy about in "Halo 3: ODST" is that you get damaged when you jump from a height. I will miss being able to jump off a mountain not get hurt, but I guess they had to make changes because you are not playing as all mighty Master Chief anymore.
