Scheer, Steven. "Twitter eyes acquisitions, sees making money in 2010." Reuters. 21 Nov 2009. http://www.reuters.com/article/innovationNews/idUSTRE5AN1TB20091124
Twitter is hoping that it will be able to produce more revenue by 2010 by unique forms of advertising. As of yet, these plans have not been explained in detail but Stone has said that the advertising will be "non-traditional." In September, Twitter received a new round of funding from investors including mutual fund giant T. Rowe Price and private equity firm Insight Venture Partners. According to a person familiar with the matter, the new funds totaled $100 million, theoretically valuing the company at $1 billion.
I think this is good that the social networking giant Twitter is finally going to be making money. By doing so, they will be able to survive against competitors like Facebook and Myspace. Many people prefer to use Twitter over its competitors for its fun atmosphere. People can tweet or whatever it is called with each other. I have personally never have used Twitter, but their idea is sure to last for years to come as it continues to grow.

I am sure that I am going to hate this "new" method of advertising. I hate all the advertisement in internet that bugs me. They make sounds, I might click on the ad accidentally and ruin the whole thing I was working on, and slow my process. I am thrilled to guess how twitter will bother me while I'm using it.
